The PAthfinder Strings Program
The Pathfinder Strings Program is an after-school offering for students in grades 4-8.
\Students can elect to play one of four instruments: violin, viola, cello, or bass.
The program includes three groups:
Beginning Strings - for those who have never played a string instrument before.
- Meets from 3:00-4:00 pm on Mon/Wed in the music room.
Strings Ensemble - for those who have already taken Beginning Strings or have for 1-3 years of formal training on their instrument
-Meets from 3:00-4:00 pm on Tues/Thurs in the music room.
Advanced Strings - for those students who have for 4-5 years of formal training on their instrument or have been invited to join by Mrs. Ludwig based on a skill\
assessment.
-Meets from 3:00-4:00 pm on Fridays in the music.
Enrollment for strings is for the entire school year, with no fee to sign up.
3-5 days per week at home practice is required for all strings students.
Please do not make instrument rental arrangements before your child has registered and been measured by Mrs. Ludwig. You will receive information to assist you in renting or purchasing an appropriate size instrument for your child.
