What is Pizza Friday?
Pizza Friday is a Pathfinder tradition that started back in 1973. It’s a chance for students and staff to get together, eat lunch, share announcements, and maybe even have a little dance party! Proceeds from Pizza Lunch benefit the Pathfinder Parent Association, and help pay for the 3rd-8th grade students to attend Fall Experience each year. The first Pizza Friday will be September 27.
Can I Purchase By The Week?
No, unfortunately we have a standing order with Thatsa Pizza that is hard to adjust on a weekly basis. You need to order and pay for the whole year (28 pizza lunches) up front. However, if your child decides a week or so in that they do, in fact, want pizza lunch, no problem. Just let us know at erinjword@gmail.com and we will get them set up.
Can I Pay Monthly instead of all at once?
Yes you can! If you would rather pay for pizza lunch monthly throughout the year via EFT, or you are a Pathfinder staff member who would like to do Payroll Withholding, please select one of the following options when checking out- “ Monthly Electronic Funds Transfer”, or “Pathfinder Staff Member Only-Payroll Withholding”. Then enter "MONTHLY" in the Discount Code Box and proceed to checkout as normal. You will not be charged at check out, but we will have record of your order. Karline Jensen will contact you to get payment set up through the main office.
Where Is the pizza ordered from?
We order the Pizza from Thatsa Pizza on Long Lake Road. http://thatsapizzami.com
Each child can choose between 1, 2 or 3 slices of just cheese or pepperoni, or 1/2 of a 10” gluten free (cauliflower crust), a full individual 8” dairy free, or gluten/dairy free pizza. Each child is given at least 2 fruits and 2 veggies (organic when possible), milk or water, as well as a special treat the last pizza lunch of each month.

Yes. We offer gluten free (cauliflower crust), dairy free and vegetarian options for both pizza and cookies. If you don’t see an option listed on the website that your child requires, please email Erin Word at erinjword@gmail.com to discuss.
how can i volunteer to help with pizza lunch?
Simply CLICK HERE to sign up to volunteer! This time honored tradition runs for 28 weeks and needs at least 7 volunteers on Fridays, and 4 volunteers to rotate purchasing groceries on Thursdays. So, we need every Pathfinder family to get involved with volunteering for Pizza Lunch! Grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, special friends are welcome to volunteer as well! The timeframe is 10:ooam-12:00pm, or any time in that block.
how else can i help?
As a treat to our teachers, we offer them free lunch every Friday. As our staff grows and the cost of groceries and services increases this is becoming more difficult to do and still raise enough funds to meet our PPA fundraising goals. To help offset these costs, show support for our staff by keeping their lunch free, and not raise the cost of pizza lunch for our students, there is now an option to “sponsor a staff lunch”. Simply select from one of the pre-determined denominations, and add it to your cart! Thank you in advance for your support of our amazing staff and this time honored Pathfinder tradition!
What if my child doesn’t like pizza?
They’re not the only one! Just send them to school with a packed lunch as usual and they will eat their lunch in the gym with everyone else.
